THE AUTHOR

Raised Unitarian, Alison Bucklin became a Christian at 36 following a life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ. She left her life in risk management with The Pillsbury Company to attend Bethel Theological Seminary, where she received both the Preaching Award and the Faculty Award for academic excellence. 

She earned her Doctor of Ministry degree in 2006 from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary after serving in small church settings for over 10 years. Her doctoral project, the inspiration for this book, was inspired by her discovery of the value of the Ten Commandments in pastoral counseling.
